Abstract: West, James E. in: OTA 21.3 (1998), 481: "Dan 9:27 played a significant role in early (pre-70 A.D.) Judaism. G. here illustrates the ways in which it was interpreted in various documents of this era. In particular, he examines how the translator of the Septuagint understood and translated the passage. He then moves on to consider how Josephus, the Qumran covernanters and some messianic and revolutionary movements utilized it. He concludes with a look at how some early Christian writer (specifically the author of the "Gospel Apocalypse" contained in Mark 13 and parallels) treated the text".
