Abstract: "The author challenges the identification of the present ""David's Tower"" with Josephus ' ""Phasael's Tower"" and proposes the former's identification with Josephus' ""Hypicus' Tower"". // The author challenges the generally accepted identification of ""David's Tower"" with Josephus' ""Phasael Tower"", demonstrating that the identification is based mainly on the similarity of measurements. Josephus relates that the Third Wall issued from the Hippicus Tower, and the local topography would limit the location of this tower to the site of ""David's Tower"", confirming the identity of the two towers."
