Syon challenges the view that Galilean Jews were fragmented and preoccupied with internal conflicts. Even in the most critical time, the Jews in Gamla still remembered the aim of the revolt, as is reflected from the bronze coins that inscribed 'for the redemption of Jerusalem as holy'.
