Pages: 599-605 Type: Book Section Year: 2001 Abstract: The article claims that Josephus retold the story to the gentile readers in order to address them about their prejudice on Jewish people. In particular, he dealt with the misconception about the Jewish way in dealing with other ethnic groups and the way that they forced others to circumcise.
