Isaiah foretold the end of the Assyrians' ambition against Judah and Jerusalem, the Babylonian exile with the tragedies of the descendents of David, and the beginning of a new Temple through Cyrus the Great. Isaiah also prophesized about the temple at Leontopolis in Egypt, which came to an end during the time of Josephus. |
