Abstract: In AJ 17: 354, Josephus' commented on the dreams that were revealed to the ethnarch Archelaus and his wife Glaphyra, two leading characters in the Herodian royal circle. Josephus used the dreams to comment Archelaus' rule, which marked the new era that the Romans were taking over the final Herodian rule in Judaea and Samaria, as was mentioned from book 18 onwards.
