| Title: Universalizing the particular; natural law in Second Temple Jewish ethics Secondary Title: Studia Philonica Annual Volume: 15 Pages: 64-80 Type: Journal Article Year: 2003 Abstract: In the writings of Philo, Josephus, and Pseudo-Phocylides, there was a set of ethnic traditions and perceptions of natural laws commonly shared among the Jews during the Second Temple period. The common oral traditions of these laws are evidenced from the fact that nine clusters of laws appeared together and they occasionally followed the same order.
