Waco, TX: Baylor University Press Pages: 253-289 Type: Edited Book Year: 2004 Abstract: Comparing Josephus' descriptions of particular Herodian buildings in Antiquities and War, Richardson comments on the errors and differences in two books. There is little evidence to support the view that Josephus relied on Nicolas of Damascus when he composed the War. In Antiquities, Nicolas of Damascus played an important role in writing about the Herodian building program, as reflected from the accuracy of the accounts.
