Abstract: Josephus' representation and understanding of the Greeks were different before and after he lived in a Diaspora setting. When Josephus was still in Palestine, he seemed to have more misconceptions about the Greeks and Hellenism, given that the late Second Temple Palestine was not much disrupted by the Greek culture. At the later stage, he knew more about the Greek culture. He also started telling his Greek readers that they should admire and respect the Jews and be drawn to Judaism.
