Abstract: Lysmachus wrote the most detailed account on Exodus among Hellenistic-Roman literatures. Despite of its relatively long length and great details, it contains a collection of anti-Jewish Exodus traditions scattered throughout Hellenistic-Roman literature. Bar-Kochva thus studies the structure and composition of Lysmachus' accounts, the identification of Lysmachus, his dating, and aims in the writings of those descriptions.
