| Title: The Jesus Notice of Josephus Re-Examined Pages: 1-10 Type: Generic Year: 1987 Abstract: "Die Beschreibung Jesu in Ant XVIII 63 als eines ""weisen Mannes"" und ""Vollbringer erstaunlicher Taten"" entspricht dem Stil des Josephus und ist kaum christlicher Herkunft. // The Description of Jesus as a ""wise man"" and a ""performer of astonishing deeds"" /Ant. 18:63) are consonant with the style of Josephus and are unlikely to be Christian fabrications. In fact, the second epithet echoes a primitive popular representation of Jesus that is attested with contradictory doctrinal emphases in both the NT and rabbinic literature. - D.J.H. // V. étudie à nouveau les épithètes avec lesquelles Josèphe désigne Jésus dans Ant.
