Abstract: "Stellt das Thoraverständnis des Flavius Josephus dar, indem Fl Jos cAp II,145-219 kommentiert wird unter Einbeziehung von Fl Jos Ant III und IV. // Argues that Josephus' inattention to ritual matters in C 2:164-219 implies that the ritual laws stem from Moses rather than from God. His mention of Torah reading on the Sabbath (C 2:175) serves his didactic purpose. Josephus' emphasises and omissions are motivated largely by apologetic concerns. // Étude du résumé de la Torah que fait Josèphe dans le contre Apion II,164-219, et qui n'est pas une analyse de ce qui est permis et défendu, mais une exploration de caractère religieux et une justification morale du judaisme, destinée à faire impression sur des lecteurs gréco-romains cultivés. // Josephus carefully conceived and simplified presentation of the Torah in Against Apion 2:164-219 is probably the earliest Jewish theological synthesis. It treats God, the cult and related matters, and human relationships. Its primary aim was to impress on educated Greco-Roman readers the outstanding excellence of Judaism. While rejecting the fashionable charge of Jewish misanthropy, it clearly hinted that full communion was practicable only among ""friends"", i.e. Jews and proselytes. - D.J.H."
