The five main chapters (pp. 51-165) concern the theme, the concept of ""Diaspora"", the term diaspora/ in the Greek OT, diaspora/ in the Jewish literature of the Hellenistic and Roman period, and the theological understanding of the Diaspora. Van der Horst has provided a sixteen-page sketch of van Unnik' s life (1910-78) and work, a list of his major publications, appendixes on (1) Diaspora in ps.-Philo' s Biblica Antiquities, and (2) diaspora/ according to the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae database, and the indexes.
