SelaminSelamen, Salameh, Zalmon, Khirbet es Sallama, SelamePlace descriptionJosephus located Selamim in Lower Galilee, listing it between Bersabe and Yodefat (Life 188; War 2.573). It has been identified as Selamen, between Khirbet Cana and Kefar Hananiah. The site is a Tell (Early Bronze age to Mamluke periods), on a hill surrounded by deep wadis, with a topographical saddle on the north and remains of a moat. Pottery and coins of the Early Roman period were found on the site. |
